Hello all - I'm new to the forum. I'm going to make a pair of 3-D high-heeled shoes for my neice's Sweet 16 and was wondering if there is a way to use chocolate transfer sheets to put a design on the shoes.
I have very little experience with chocolate other than pouring melted chocolate into molds, so any ideas on how to dress up/decorate the shoew would be welcome.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thank you.

You can't use transfer sheets, as they would have to fit inside the shoe and getting them to sit in there smoothly would be difficult, to put it mildly. You can try decorating with colored cocoa butter: you can spray or paint it into the mold before adding the chocolate. A really nice touch is to use a contrasting or beige color (with colored white chocolate) for the inside of the sole by doing a dark coat or two, then another coat with the lighter color. Alternatively, you can paint on decoration on the outside after removing the fully set shoe from the mold. You can also try coloring white chocolate and "painting" or "dotting" it onto the finished shoe from a small tipped squeeze bottle. You can buy edible decorations at the craft store. You can make a bow from a mold and attach it with melted chocolate as glue. You can use edible glitter or luster dust. There really are a million things you can do, but transfer sheets are not the way you want to go.

Thank you for the quick and helpful reply. I was hoping to add a zebra or leopard print - but I like your edible glitter or luster dust ideas too. I guess I need to visit the chocolate store to see all of my options.
Thanks again.

google chocolate high heels and you'll get lots of ideas. The zebra one on this site looks rather easy (paint the inside of the mold with white chocolate stripes before pouring dark) or do the opposite (paint black stripes and pour white chocolate): www.gayleschocolates.com/subcategory.php?cid=2&sid=69 You may find that just getting the shoe molding to look good is the hardest part; the decorating is easy.
