I know it is hard to find small scale cocoa butter presse, but recently I have found this website: 'http://www.brupaks.com/winemaking.htm'.
Has anyone tried these or know if they will work, I was thinking of maybe putting a piece of fine filter fabric at the base to provide some resistance.
Thanks

I make a couple hundred gallons of wine most years - most of these small bear screw type presses aren't going to give you sufficient pressure to expel much butter from liquor - you'll get some, to be sure, but you're going to leave an aweful lot in the liquor as well. The concept is sufficient to provide a great deal of pressure; however most of these are built from wood, and the wood will fail long before those pressures are reached. If you can find one made of all metal, you'll have a fighting chance.
