Hey all, I'm wondering about additional ingredients that can be added to the Melanger for the refining process. With the two batches I have done, the mix solidifies real quick at room temp, barely enough time to fill molds.
Now, I'm under the impression that liquid is off limits, but powders are allowed, however when I take a spoonful of Peanut Butter powder and eat it, it instantly takes all my saliva, so that tells me it wouldn't work in the machine.
Does that make sense? Is there a guide detailing which powders can be used?
Thanks.

Hi Mitch. There is no guide that I'm aware of. The main thing you want to avoid is water. Powders are fine, although you may need to add extra cocoa butter when adding more solids.
I'm not really familiar with peanut butter powder, but should be fine. Again, though, you may need to add more cocoa butter depending on whether the peanut oil has been removed from it or not. If not, it should be fine as-is.

Thanks, Ben. I want the Peanut Butter, as the mix is better than Reese's on the stovetop, but of course don't want to screw up the Melanger. I guess I just have to add very gradually and also add more butter. PB Fit is free of oil, don't know about other brands.. pbfit.com/product/pbfit-organic/
