Hi, So I am into Lita Soybean grinder now for a few hundred bucks and I am starting to wonder if I am throwing good money after bad. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. I put a new motor on there and geared it down so it turns about 190 rpms. It seems to be working but the nibs turn to a paste and just clog up the inside of the grinder. It doesn't expel. I am not sure why it would! How can I rig this thing to work for me? any ideas? Make new grinding plates? mill some channels into the existing grinding plates? forget about chocolate and start a soybean grinding operation? Attachments:

the knives inside are not original and might not be functioning very well. an auger type thing might be better but I have no idea how to create that. Attachments:

here are two unused stones that came with the grinder. Maybe if I heated the stones up it would help? Thank you and any advice would be great. I have a lot of grinding to do and no way to do it at this point. Cheers Attachments:

By the way, my wife is going to kill me if I don't figure this out! I have spent the allotted time and money on this project and I am in the hot water now. Now I know what a lobster must feel like!

OK before you get boiled up and served with drawn butter, my suggestion would be to heat up the entire contraption, and your nibs as well. It would seem the lack of heat isn't allowing the oils/paste to flow.

I will do that and report back. I will need to hide my heat source so it isn't used to boil me if it still doesn't work.
Thanks
