Hi, I just got the coolest peanut butter machine made by a company called Lita. It has stone grinding plates and it came with a 3hp motor! It is not the original motor and it is totally sketchy so I want to replace it. I am wondering if anyone has any idea about how much horse power I will need, and what should me grinding plate rpm be so I can figure out my gears. I think about 120 rpm but I am not sure. and I can't imagine it will take more than 1hp to grind up some nibs. Here is a picture of it. Also, I have a brand new set of grinding plates. Should I get them duplicated somehow before I use them? I imagine they would be pretty impossible to replace as I can't find much on the manufacturer. Think I could swap out to stainless grinding plates? and if so, would that be beneficial? Thanks everyone. I continue to learn so much from everyone here. Cheers!! Attachments:
