Anyone ever heard of a commercial winnower from CPS Limited in England around 3k that winnows at about 25kg per hour and weighs 80lbs. ? I'd love to hear feedback from anyone that has used this machine or knows about this company. Thanx

We got used models of both the CPS bean breaker and winnower, and they work very well. If you're not in Europe, it's a tough time to make the purchase...last I looked the GBP was $2.10 or so :-(
That said, I've never found another on the used market.

I just tried an online search for the company and didn't find anything. Does anyone have their website information?
Do they still manufacture and sell the equipment new?
Any help here would be appreciated.

Thank you very much!
I'm sure there are more than a few people on this forum, who have been hunting for a solution such as this.
;D

Yes that is of interest and I dare say not just to me, perhaps if someone gets a quote they could post it up instead of 15 of us asking the company the same question.

I am checking so that information can be had on the site from now on.
If there is enough interest (hint, pipe up if so) I could look at bring some over in bulk.
More information when it arrives....

Last time I checked in May 2006, the machine was $1900 USD delivered. However, with the increase in material costs and the weak dollar, I'd bet it is more like $3000 USD at the moment, which, if you look at Nuthouse's first post where she mentions "3K," is probably what she is referring to.

Hi, Sorry I didn't check in earlier.
They quoted me 800 GBP ($1880) for the winnower and 1900 GBP ($3760) for the breaker with 160 GBP for shipping and insurance...about $5700 for the two.

Yeah, those are roughly the pricing I am getting, although can get some bulk discounts.
OK, I want some feed back folks. Here is as good a place as any.
What kind of capacity and speed would you like in a winnower? How does 40-60 lbs/hour sound? What kind of price would you hope to pay for that capacity or the capacity you want (and specify it)? (oh, and 'as low as possible' is NOT a good answer - it's a basic assumption)
When I first look at the quote, I ran the numbers backwards and thought "$400 - a touch high but ok if someone really wants one." How does that number strike people?
I have not pushed my R&D of a winnower because the retail cost kept calculating out to that number or higher and after the other equipment, that is not insignificant.
Again, feed back as to what you want and what you would pay would be great.

In general I think if you offered a winnower that could handle 20-25kg/hour and cost somewhere in the range of $500-750US, you'd definitely have some customers.

I am certainly not at that level yet but to cut the amount of time I spend winnowing with a hair dryer I would spend that much + shipping to save that hassel!!

I have been making chocolate for a while and did it with a 1,500 budget. I don't think i would pay all that more money just to save the hassle and time, although it would be useful, I just don't think its worth it. I'm curious, What if the alchemist bought it and sold the chocolate liquor out of it and he'd make a buck and we would all save time! It is chocolate from home isn't it? Or maybe someone else's home!! It could work, just putting ideas out there. ;D
