I've been experimenting based largely on taste and the formulations John has thrown on the main page.
That being said, I'm noticing some differences in expected yeilds, largely because I measure out the beans, as is stated in the formulation.
Should I be roasting, cracking/winnowing beans in a larger batch and then measure out the nibs for the formulations or should I still take, say 2lbs of beans and work with whatever I have from that?
I've just noticed some slight variations when working and measuring from the bean, vs the nib. As each batch in roaster comes out with different weight, and then there's loss of the husk mass as well which affects total amount of beans I have.
For reproducability standards should this be measured by the already roasted nibs?
