Decided to break in the machine today and put 2 cups of granulated sugar (one cup at a time) into the grinder. after about 3 minutes, one stone (closest to the opening) stopped spinning, or only spins sporadically. I can still spin it by hand, feels loose, but there's quite a bit of sugar "powder" accumulated between the scraper and the stone. Is this just a case of too much sugar or is there an issue?

Odd. after stopping the grinder to post this, then turning it back on, it's spinning again.

The lock screw must be COMPLETELY flush with the axle or chocolate will get in there and basically burn. I actually had some custom screws made with a very large head that can be tightened much better than the stock ones and don't grind the plastic bushings down. I don't have pics here at home but I'll take some Monday.

cheebs, hope you can send those pict in my email.the first batch of refining is considered a little bit failure due to that dark discoloration.as soon as i see the pict,i'll modify the lock screw.cheebs thanks for the help.very much appreciated.i'll keep the motor running and check how many hour it can do in refining until overheat comes.
