My friend Lorenzo Datei, of Packint SRL ( www.packint.com ) in Milan, Italy, just sent me pictures of their new cracker/winnower. It has a capacity of ~75-80 kilos/hour and has a list price of 15,400 Euros. Fully manufactured in stainless steel, and quite compact for its capacity. I saw a prototype in action at Guido Castagna's workshop outside Torino, and the throughput is as stated. While expensive, compared with BLT's ($70k for the 75 kilo model) or The super-pricey Vortex winnower ($35k +) it's head and shoulders above them in price/performance. If anyone wants Lorenzo's contact, feel free to ask.

Thanks for posting pics. I assume that the nibs come out the little tube, but where does the husk go?
Do you know how efficiently it separates nib from husk?
