It would be very nice of you, if you answer my questions. I'm totally new to this topic, how to make chocolate, but i'm experienced enough in making sweets from ready to use chocolate. I know, there's a lot of information about chocolate making, but i have no time to read so much. Here, in Moscow, i can find cacao butter, cacao mass, cacao powder, lecitine, vanilla beans and some aromatic extracts and sugar of course. So, is it possible to make chocolate at home having what i listed? And now i don't have any special equipment, do i need it if i try to start with a cacao mass? If yes, what exactly? And what the technology? Sorry for my silly question, anticipating the answers Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but chocolatemaking requires quite a bit of reading. Regardless of where it's written, you will need to familiarize yourself with the process. I suggest you start at the Chocolate Alchemy website ( www.chocolatealchemy.com), on the right side you will see a series of links under the heading "Alchemist's Notebook." Read each step of the process carefully to get a pretty good idea how chocolate is made in the home. Most of the questions you ask in this post are answered there. After you have gained some basic knowledge, you can come back here with specific questions which we will be more than happy to answer.

Cheebs;
Well put. My first reply wasn't quite as polite. I read it over after posting it and decided to remove it.
Amira;
I agree with Cheebs. This is a GREAT site - full of insight by beginners and experts alike.
Take the time to read the threads and posts, then get the heck back in the kitchen and have some fun!
Best Regards, Brad.
