Could you use a convection roaster like the sono fresco one? www.sonofresco.com/roaster/You can find them used for about $1000-$2000 And hey it roasts Coffee too...... I know Coffee pretty much inside and out with alot to learn, and this site is so very cool how can I not use my IR-3 to roast other things than just Green coffee

2lbs? OUCH that's expensive - even for me, and I LOVE to spend money!!!! Buy a used home oven for $150 and roast twice that much (or use your own home oven for next to free!) - unless of course you MUST have another gadget. Brad.

Thanks Brad, I already own the sonfresko ( I owned two espresso stands and this is what got me started roasting) And I got the Diedrich IR-3 for up scaling my wholesale coffee roasting And with the ability of being able to roast 6 lbs of coffee; it seems it could roast at least 5 lbs of cocoa. I roast about 250lbs of coffee a week.
