Can I add other fats or oils to make Chocolate smoother because cocoa butter is expensive?

You can add other fats, but the resulting product is no longer technically (or legally) chocolate. Also, just adding other fats won't make the chocolate smoother. Smoothness comes from refining, so either way, you'd need to refine the solids smaller to achieve smoothness. How are you currently making chocolate?

Thank you. I harvested beans from my own tree, fermented and roasted. The variety looks like a hybrid type of Nacional. Flavour is ok but so low in fat. I ordered a small wet grinder and while waiting for the machine I was trying to grind with just an ordinary food processor. The resulting powder is so dry. Thank you once again.

You're welcome! It's possible that there's enough fat in the beans themselves, but that the food processor just wasn't able to break it down enough or didn't get hot enough to release the fat. I'd be interested to hear how it goes once you get the wet grinder.

I got my Butterfly Rhino wet grinder(That was the only machine I could find) Within several rounds it released enough fat of cocoa . Currently fighting to reduce the bitter taste. Too much milk powder doesn't seem to be the answer.
