Is there a simple way to revitalize store bought bars when they start to harden and lose their original vitality? I don't want to go to the trouble of melting them down and re-molding them. Just hoping there's a simple way to bring back some of that freshness. Like...'microwave for 5 seconds'. I don't know if this is a thing - just offering an example of a quick and easy solution I hope exists.

Chocolate can lose temper over time, so re-tempering possibly help. Of course it also depends on the ingredients in the chocolate. Store bought chocolate often has less desirable ingredients that can affect the chocolate's behavior. However, re-tempering is not a quick, easy fix either.
