I got suprised that the beans sold in Arfica are very cheap , much much cheaper than my country Viet Nam . Despite we also have cheap labor like them . Is that speaking quality of the beans or arfican soil and farms being much better than us ?

There are many factors that go into cacao economics. A major reason African cacao is less expensive is volume of production. In general, as volume goes up prices tend to go down. By far, Cote d'Ivoire and Ghana produce the largest percentage of the world's cacao. www.statista.com/statistics/263855/cocoa-bean-production-worldwide-by-region/However, this does not mean high volume equals high quality. Unfortunately, these countries in general are not known for producing high quality beans. Also, there ethical concerns with African cacao production such as child slave labor, corruption, etc. that are another topic.
