I have a "wrong-reading" positive copper printing plate (i.e. what you would roll ink onto and then press against paper in traditional printing) which I would like to use to make imprints into chocolate.
I've done some experiments mostly already tempered and set chocolate
I've (barely) heated the surface of a tempered, set, chocolate bar - first with sunlight, then a quick warm water immersion, then a hair dryer, then made my imprint, with varying degrees of marginal success. The basic problem is that I get bloom.
So I'm wondering if others have ideas. I'm thinking of pouring the molten chocolate directly onto the plate, but the topography of the plate is such that I worry I'll have trouble removing the chocolate.
Any ideas?
