Hi Goodday Everyone,
I'm an engineering student designing a cracker and winnower for a small-scale industry. Trying to gather some info on the key components. How much should it be able to crack and winnow kg/hr ? Also what are some of the main features that you would like to see in such a machine ?

Take a look at some of the designs online. It has less to do with throughput (in my mind) than in cost to the final user. Those of us in the industry are making money (in theory) and can afford to buy commercial machines. As someone who started making my own using a vacuum and hardware store parts, I can say that a less expensive or option for third-world producers might make the most sense. Focus on cost and single pass winnowing. You can combine both functions in a single unit but again, low cost and commercially available parts might be the best design path.
