My Santha has been running almost round the clock lately. When I emptied it today I noticed the rubber/hard plastic ring that was attached to the base of 'the bowl' was no longer attached. It looks a bit worn as well, especially in places. Do you have replacements for that? Or should I just epoxy it back in place? Thank you for all your help. I'm absolutely LOVING making chocolate. Arrow and everyone,
Whereas I don't mind product issues being brought up on the forum (broken parts, etc) I am not here every day and it isn't the best place to get an answer from me. In general, if you have a product problem, I would prefer an email. Not so as to hide the problem from everyone else, but to service you better.
That said, Arrow, is the base spinning freely? Is it leaking? Those sometimes will come loose if you have heated it above 150 F - the epoxy is not heat proof and the whole drum is not dishwasher safe for that reason.
Yes, you can epoxy it back in place. I use JB-Weld. Has been fine as it does not touch the chocolate.
