I'm trying to convince my huband to agree to buy the Santha, it would help if it had more than one purpose. Has anyone tried to grind grains in it?

The Santha Grinder's original purpose is for grinding grains, chick peas, and so forth in the making of Indian food such as falafels, naan, etc. In fact I believe the company is based (if not originally from) India. The Santha for this site has been modified such that it can handle grinding small amounts of cocoa beans.
Hope this helps.

Brad, it is meant to process cooked or softened grains (i.e. wet), not dry grains into flour. It will not do that.
But in general, it's original unmodified purpose is as a "Wet" grinder.

Rats. Well I guess I'll have to go the traditional route to convince him...
