It really depends on how much you want to produce and how much you want to spend :-)
Can you give us an indication?
Roasting can be done in an oven or with high end (expensive) roasters Winnowing can be done with a DIY unit, or a unit you buy here on Chocolate Alchemy or an (expensive) bought machine Refining can be done in a wet grinder or with dedicated (expensive) roller-refiners Conching usually requires an (expensive) dedicated conche, but some of the benefits of conching can be achieved using a wet grinder mentioned above Tempering can be done by hand for smaller amounts, table-top machines or larger standalone machines

I'd like to spend Let's say 20-25k for all the machinery however in saying that I know the commercial ones are super expensive,
I don't need huge commercial equipment to start out but they need to be larger in capacity than your wet grinder that you would use at home. I guess I don't want to find out after a year that all the machines I bought are not enough to manage increasing demand and then have to spend more money.
in terms of how much I want to produce, I'm not sure at the beginning what that would look like? I haven't worked that out yet 😕 There's so many things to think about and work out its getting so overwhelming ..... I wish there was a business consultant of sorts who could help me the the logistics of the business !

Hi Kim
At the moment as I'm still experimenting at home I'm using the spectra 11 wet grinder, the behmour 1600 plus coffee roaster, crankandstein, and the sylph winnower from john, once I perfect my recipes and am ready to move on I will buy larger equipment,

Hello All!
I am new here on the boards but have been a longtime fan of the website and it has been an invaluable resource. Experimenting a bit and I think I am in a similar situation as Ejahjah. So looking for a bit of feedback of mid sized machinery available in Europe as I am in Spain. ANy insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

CocoaTown do a good range. Worth checking out I have heard of them and have asked for more information from them. Was hoping to find options closer or in Europe.

Try kudvic, from Russia. No information on how good/bad/otherwise they are, but the videos of the stuff seem good.
