So let's say that someone were to have left a couple pounds of beans, roasted, in a bowl with no lid in a warm location (on top of the dryer) for the past 4 months.
Are they still good? By good I mean will they make me sick if I make them into chocolate? I figure they are likely stale and have likely picked up other smells and whatnot but use 'em for a milk with lots of vanilla and the kids would love it no doubt.

Note: Yes, beans are fine, might be a bit stale.
I'm going to make a milk out of them, shouldn't even notice anything

As long as they were kept dry, if they were good to eat after roasting, they'll still not make you sick after 4 months.
