I have an opportunity to purchase some beans from Puerto Cabello region. Unfortunately due to the distances involved I cannot sample them first. Does anyone have anything to say (good or bad) about these beans? How would they compare to a Rio Caribe or Carenero
Cheers

Puerto Cabelo has a good history. Bonnat has a bar which most chocolate tasting experts consider very good. John of this Chocolate Alchemy site has been selling a Patanemo that I have heard is also quite good. Patanemo is in the general area of Puerto Cabello. One chocolate review site reviewed the Mast Brother chocolate of a Patanemo and they liked it which is saying something because they usually think that Mast Brothers stinks.
