Hi, I've been using my Santha 10 for a couple years now, just a few batches a year and never more than 2 kilos/5 pounds +- per batch. I am going to start a week long run of 2-3 batches and I was wondering in your experience what is the maximum safe/best batch size you have found for the Santha 10?
thanks, robert

I think I made one batch that was close to 10 and it was a bit much. it started coming out of the lid. It resembled a cotton candy machine. I usually keep it about 7-8 lbs total.

thanks tocoti. I suspected that even though 10 lbs was the stated maximum, about 7 was actually the practical limit. Starting the run today... peace, robert

Just some additional comments: The lid has venting around the sides but if it gets clogged it's not good so I took a metal skewer and melted a relief hole in the center where it should be.
