I just replaced the regular automotive-style v-belts with fiberglass link belts. They are awesome! Brad, that was a great find, thank you for that!!! Easy to tighten, with the Ultra's silly 3-leg support design you no longer have to loosen the motor to replace the belt and the machine just PULLS! Ran an 8lb 70% batch of just liquor and sugar and the machine handled it per-fect-ly!

Yes, the fiberglass link belts are a godsend. Hat tip to Brad on that one.

And thanks jtoddm for the info on the peanut grinder. Would be nice to set it up directly above the Santha and just let it feed directly into the running grinder. (we also do the bowl swapping, just a matter of what machine has the best adjusted belt at the time, I suppose.)

Hi , Am sharing this not sure if anybody has also experienced and fixed the same problem My santh10 Some time back was making Noise, I read almost all the post about the motor but there was nothing exactly explaining what I was hearing .. Well on x mas eve the noise became excessive and I hard to stop the operation my eng; wiser opened it and he could not easily work out where the noise came from.. Any way to cut it short he dismantled the motor and only to fine that the shaft hard separated coursing it to torch the walls of the motor!!! Solution welded it permanent and it’s as quite as it can be. Happy New Year and happy choc making
