Dear Kerry,
I see them. They look very nice. Congratulations! What machine did you use to conch your chocolate?

Alan, I have a Sowbaghya grinder, similar to the Santha, but I think it has a lot more plastic and might not survive the experimentation. My husband will likely do a little something about cooling it. It ran for 11 hours yesterday, got warm to the touch but didn't start to smell or anything.

I have been reading These threads about chocolate making using a spice grinder and this is something i would like to try. I don't have the funds for the Santha at present. So i would like to run some questions by you. How fine dose the spice grinder get the nibs? Were there things you needed to do to improve this and do you Know of any piece of equipment that can refine just a small amount of Liqueur other than the santha It dosen@t have to be as good just better than just using a spice grinder it will do untill a later date (due to cost and shipping to england though this is what i would like to do when i have the funds) Any help or advice would be great! Now a little about me...Im a house Dad (wife works) I live in England UK and have always enjoyed sweets and chocolate so much so that my knickname at School was Sweettooth from out of the Beano comic because i always had pockets full of sweets. (and now i have no teeth)Im also a Chef and enjoy cooking. So when i came across the Chocolate Alchemy web sight It ticked all the boxes. And i look forward to having the funds for doing this Chocolate Alchemy stuff properly please help with any advice and tips would be cool

Ok here's another thought. Alchemist John was saying that the coffee /spice grinders seem to burr and fling the beans to the sides after a short time of grinding and the same with Blenders so I'm thinking of engineering something to cause the beens/ liqueur, to flick back towards the blades again. It would have to be strong some sort of scraper attachment. When i get my beans ill tincker in my workshop to see if i can come up with something. Ill start jotting some ideas down though. Could be the simplist of things and often is. Has anybody tried this Im sure somone out there has Ill let you Know how i get on. ALL ADVICE WELCOME!
Regards
