Hi chocoholics, Does the age of the champion matter at all in its ability to do the job? I would like to know if older champions are okay because they are cheaper on craigslist and elsewhere . Elendil

I'd hazard a guess that very few Santha's ran as long as mine, and I saw almost no wear in the granite wheels or bottom over the 3 years I was using it.
Hope that helps.

I realize it's an old question, but not seeing an answer here, so I'll chime in for others that may have these concerns.
Champion juicers are lifetime waranteed and have been around for a very long time. The one I got was from craigslist and it appears it is about 20 years old based on serial number and part compatibility on champion's website. I've personally had no issues with my Champion. It always grinds the chocolate into liquer very nicely. The blades need to be replaced if they wear down. Parts are available to keep this thing running indefinately.
