I have recently been granted access to an artisanal cocoa butter press. It makes unfiltered cocoa butter. I would appreciate some suggestions on how to filter it to remove the remaining cocoa solids. Mostly I want this natural CB for making white chocolate, so removal of solids is very important. TIA.

Hello,
I just purchased a Hydraulic Cocoa Butter Press, but want to use it for the first time. The instruction Manual was only FOUR (4) pages that didn't anything about making Cocoa Butter. I did get TWO (2) different MP4 Videos. In both VIDEOS they are just using (NIBBS), but everything I have read says to use COCOA PASTE / CHOCOLATE LIQUOR. B ut VIDEO #1) shows them putting the (NIBBS into a HEAVY WHITE CLOTH BAG & the Closing the top & placing a Felt Round Pad on top of the White bag & then a metal plate before you close the lid & turn on the machine!! That VIDEO shows mostly clearer oil with some dark cocoa particles in the oil!! Video #2) Shows them just putting the (NIBBS)straight into the the press The the metal plate close the lid & turn on the press!! This video is dark brown oil.
The Bag & felt from the looks of the video filter out a lot of the Cocoa Solids, but some is still there inside the oil! But if you would use COCOA PASTE / CHOCOLATE LIQUOR & put into the BAG & then the felt. I would think that the Cocoa Paste inside of the bag would make a mess??? I have not tried it yet, but was hoping some one would know & be able to give me some direction / assistants??? Please, if someone has experience making Cocoa Butter with the Hydraulic Press Please help me understand the concept.
Gratefully,
Eric

Hello, I gotten my Cocoa Butter Press on Alibaba.com from a company called ZZbona.com. But I never & STILL CAN NOT get a complete instruction manual. They Claimed it was for COCOA BUTTER, but the Videos were another company press making Cocoa Butter. The little bit of information that I got was about SESAME OIL & WALNUT OIL!!! But nothing stated about COCOA BUTTER!! I believe it was they are a scam. Why would you REFUSE to give a PERSON the COMPLETE INSTRUCTION MANUAL??? I still have not tried the press I purchased from them & WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!
