So I put these pre-bought cocoa nibs through the Champion Juicer, and all I got were a few bits of powder before the Juicer got clogged up and stopped working. The screen and blades were completely clogged. I may have fed the nibs too fast. How small do the nibs have to be before they can be run through the Juicer? I assumed the Juicer would be able to handle small chunks of nibs, but maybe not? Also, I'm not sure if the nibs came pre-roasted; should this make a difference? I still find it hard to believe that they will liquefy all by themselves... thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, did you get the nibs from me? If so, mine will say "Roasted" if roasted. Otherwise they are raw. If they are raw, you did not stand a chance. The moisture of raw or underroasted beans will cause the liquor to seize.
Also, if you pushed them through too fast, even if roasted, you can stale the Champion. The pressure you should put on the plunger is a touch over "hand" pressure. If you are using muscle, it is too hard.
Finally, if you got roasted from me (in a kit) and you didn't go too fast, and it still locked up, maybe I messed up and didn't get them roasted enough. Rare, but it happens.
Let's get you up and running !
