Hi!
I'm currently based in the UK running a small family owned chocolate business. I'm seeking opinions on the packaging of the chocolate bar, as I've already designed and purchased the box, I'm in need of help to figure out which is best (tin foil or eco plastic) for the chocolate to be placed in. I've heard that aluminum foil is best with dark chocolate to keep it's freshness, but then not so eco friendly. With eco friendly packaging, would it stay as fresh ? Have others had any problems? What would people recommend?
I'd appreciate all answers!

I've used both and prefer plant-based cellophane to foil. With foil sheets that are folded on the bar, it's not really sealing the bar in any way. Cellophane bags can be sealed, which preserves freshness better. Heat-sealable foil or foil-lined bags/pouches a less permeable than cellophane, but are not eco friendly.
I'm currently using and am happy with a compostable/biodegradable paper pouch with a biodegradeable PLA film lining.
