My Nemisto Stylo (Santha Stylo) is making a high pitch noise. I thought it was the v-belt so I got a replacement belt. I took the opportunity to grease the bearing under the drive shaft while changing the belt as well. Nevertheless, that did not help.
As Brad has said several times, these machines isnĀ“t made for chocolate making, so I am afraid it is the bearings in the motor or something like that. Any suggestions on where to look or how to solve the problem?
This is the second machine I am wearing down, both within a year. I am missing a machine between the Stylo or Premier and the large professional machines. The Stylo has a price range of 5-600 Euro, the next step I can find is the DCM MELANGER 20 or the 7 kg KADZAMA at a price range of 2700 Euro. Is there a machine in the range between? Or is it worth paying 5 times the price for a professional tabletop model?

I have 2 Premier tilting grinders which are still going after a few years. I've had to replace some parts like bearings, etc. I just bought a DCM 20 and wish I had done so years ago! They are pricey but wonderfully made, heavy-duty, and QUIET! I guess you can use the old axiom "buy once-cry once."
I know a lot of people have not had NOT had lot of luck with the Santha brand, especially buying the "purple" model. John sells the Spectra 11 which is a good machine as well.
