This is what I did. It's mobile.
Onedrive slide show
It's based somewhat on Youtube video of someone elses cracker (No, that isn't my setup in the video), which is clearly based on the Aether winnower.
My slideshow above has 13 images showing pretty much what I did. All the food contact surfaces should be considered food safe. It's either PVC pipe, a food container or the cocoa mill.
The hopper isn't much, as it stands. But it's easily swapped out with something bigger. It's currently a 10 litre icecream container.
Things that aren't obvious :
The PVC pipe is all 90mm DWV (Drain waste vent) PVC. Definitely food safe. I checked.
The 'funnel' is a leaf eater rain head. It fits the 90mm pipe perfectly. By design.
John has a narrowing between the the cracker and the actual separating chamber. I've always assumed it's to limit airflow through that area. Despite appearances, I also have it. Just below the funnel, inside the piping is a step down adapter. Like this It fits in perfectly and makes for a slightly neater appearance. I had to grind away bits to get it to fit, but that was a not a major problem.
The motor is a 156w (24v 6.5amp) bought off ebay. This one
The PSU is the 3rd effort. The first one I bought, cheap off ebay, didn't work, neither did it's replacement. I spent a little more on the one you see and it does work fine.
The steel work was made up by a mate of mine. Kane made an enormous difference. Lots of help and advice on bits and pieces. And he did all the welding.
Sad to say I've barely used it. I did put 1 kilogram through it, and it worked very well. I've previously hand cracked and winnowed, and lets say, I don't need to ever do that again. I also did it with the output of a vacuum cleaner, and that, well it worked well enough was also tedious.
I do need to test more and see how well I can get the vacuum and discriminator values set.
