I've been doing this for a few years now, and mostly been relying on my $20 sharper image battery scale and within the last year I've been donated a postal scale for doing chocolate work.
The postal scale is much better, however, it sometimes takes a while to get an accurate reading - which slows down the process. Another downside is that it will only read in 2g increments for when I'm filling molds.
I'd like to get something that's faster in response, but also more accurate and trying to not break the bank in doing so. Any suggestions?

I know this is an old thread but I'd also like to know if someone uses a weighing scale for filling moulds that they're happy to recommend?

Just as an update. A scale that I've been using that's rather nice is the American Weigh Scales 13lb battery operated scale. It allows for calibration, has an option for auto-off or not and has a 10 year warranty. Found on amazon for $17.99 and wasnt half bad. It also has a slight delay for accuracy, but it's faster than the postal scale. Only real downside is the weigh plate is a bit smaller. So the polycarbonate molds have to be carefully placed before starting work. But it's been working for the past year and I'm happy with it.
