Hi-
Our new Santha 11 worked fine twice. We just took it out for a third time and it won't start. No humming, no noise whatsoever.
We took it apart and everything seems just fine.
Any suggestions? Can I just take it to a regular equipment repair place? I waited almost 2 months for my Spectra 11 to arrive. I don't relish waiting a long time to get it repaired.
I read Brad's post about replacing the motor/fan/capacitor from the get go if I wanted a reliable piece of equipment, but that was in 2006 and I'm not sure the advice holds for the Spectra 11.
Any advice would be welcome.
regards, susan

are the wires connected to the on off button? There are 2 of them connect to the lid of the machine.

Any tech that services electric motors should have no trouble at all with a Santha. With that said, you probably already got the best advice out there: check that the power leads are all connected properly.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. Fortunately, it was the plug.
Back in business.

First place to check - the fuse.

Just wanted to chime in that I had a similar problem. Spectra11 worked great several times and then quit. I took it apart to find that the molded plug was the culprit. Chopped it off and put a new plug end on. Works like a charm.
