Hey folks,
Is there a centralized location where folk may have posted things like modifications to their Santha's? Climate control systems, etc?
I want to build a little box to put mine in so that I can control the heat better but I'm also wondering if there would be advantages to things like a better belt or more tension on the belt, etc, etc. Any tips on getting more out of the machine without causing much damage to it. Temperature thresholds also, if anyone has done exhaustive testing (for example, the seals are good to 160 I think but what about 30 hours running at 140, will that eventually cause damage?).
Cheers,
Matt M

I built a box around it and the temp went up enough to deform the plastic cover over the motor, keep the motor cool. I just made the whole thing adjustable. But the reason for the box was the thing was so loud because a bearing is going out in the motor, time for a new motor, I would estimate 200# have gone thru this machine. I abuse it, throw nibs in, keep the belt real tight, but usually don't mix sugar in it but add it later.
