There is a group of us that are in a bind. Hopefully you chocolate lovers can help us figure this out. Not sure if you have heard of a corn allergy but we have one. It is really getting hard to find a corn free chocolate. Lindt has just changed their recipe and even ghirardelli their unsweetened baking bar is made on the same line as one with corn in it (due to the grain alcohol from the vanilla). So I was hoping you chocolate lovers might be able to point us in the right direction. I also need the chocolate to be tree nut free. I really don't want to have to make my own chocolate as we have to already make everything from scratch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. All the chocolate should contain is Chocolate, sugar, cocoa butter. If vanilla is included it has to be ground beans. Any suggestions?? (buying in bulk would be great so we could make our own candy)

Hi cornfree,
It sounds like you are going to have to make your own, all the reaserch I have done for chocolate suppliers come up with the warning the chocolate is made on machines that also process nuts. And most of them also use corn syrup in their regular products. You may try looking for places like organic suppliers, or nut free suppliers. You could also check with forums that support people with those kind of allergies.
