Hi, has anybody noticed any wear of the white plastic parts of this melanger, mainly: sides of the stone wheels, and around the bolt that screws at the end of the wheel axle? Would that be reason for concern or some wear is expected?
Thank you

Hi Lorenza, When you clean it do you take the wheel apparatus apart and clean the axles and wheel/axle openings? Many times chocolate can get trapped in there and cause wear and tear.

Yes I always take everything apart, and I have a round brush that I use inside the wheels. I just started to notice some wear all around the white plastic on the side of the wheels and there is a channel forming from wear around the bolt that is encased in the knob. I am concerned that plastic may end up in the chocolate, I always strain it when I dumped it out, but have not found any residues.

Some wear is to be expected. You could try adding a large stainless steel washer between the bolt head and the plastic to reduce this.
