Hello all,
I haven't seen anything on here, or elsewhere, about the Premier 2 litre table top compact wet grinder and wondered if anyone has used one? I want to get my wife into chocolate making and don't want to spend out £200 on a wet grinder she doesn't know she's getting and find out it's naff!
I don't like the idea of the tilting one they do, same capacity and I've read mixed reviews about the 1.5 litre compact version by Premier.
Also, I am UK based, so do not want to order from cocoatown.

The tilting grinder has better venting for running the long hours required to refine chocolate. I would recommend the tilting grinder over the compact version for this reason.
I have been making bean to bar chocolate for many years and I've been so happy with my grinders that I have begun selling them. I started with the small Santha, like most of us here, when there really weren't other options. When I first used the Premier grinders I was impressed with how well they work and hard they work. I continue to be impressed and have several grinders running every day for product development, test batches, etc.
Now that Chocolate Alchemy is no longer selling the Premier Grinders (not due to the quality of the products, but to avoid any conflicts of interest), I will be selling them instead. I will have the same prices and warranties that were offered on Chocolate Alchemy. You can find the Premier Grinders for sale at:
indichocolate.com/collections/chocolate-making-machines
If you have questions about the Premier Grinders you can also email me (no spam please) at info at indichocolate dot com
The Alchemist will continue to honor warranties and sell replacement parts for any Premier Grinders sold on Chocolate Alchemy.
I also sell replacement parts.

Thanks, but it's too late, I had to make a decision as I didn't get a reply and delivery time was 3 weeks, and, given that it's a Christmas present, I couldn't wait any longer. I went for the table top compact just because I had to act pretty quick. I'm sure it will do the job and I was concerned about the lid as I've read about condensation with other grinders, but I suspect I can use it without the lid, it's all new to me, and will certainly be to my wife, as she has got no idea what I'm getting her into!! I didn't like the idea of the tilting one as the base looked flimsy and I didn't want a mis-hap with it tilting. Too late to change now, but had I of known, I would of probably taken your advice. Thanks again though. Now all I'll need, is advice on how to make the stuff.

I use the compact 1.5L version and have run it 50 hours straight without a problem with ventilation. No condensation with lid (and you can run it without lid as well)
