Someone gifted me some cacao beans from Oaxacan Mexico. It is only about 8oz, does anyone know if that would work in the Melanger or is it way too small? I have a 2L and the bean tastes good on it's own but I want to see in the Melanger what it tastes like.

My guess is that that would be too small and that it would all get caught up on the rollers and the scraper. Looking through some posts on this forum, the smallest amount I can find anyone saying they've done is almost double that. That being said, I could be completely wrong. It may be ok once the nibs have become liquor, so maybe it would work if you kept scraping if off the rollers and scraper until it was a liquid--or if you preground it in a food processor or something.

I've put 10oz in before to my premier wonder, plus sugar, it worked fine
