Hi, I purchased a Santha-10 about 5 years ago and did not have any issues. For the past one weak, it was not working, when I opened it I found that this part (in the picture) does not move. Is it a problem with ball bearings or something else? I am not aware of what needs to be done. Any advice will be appreciated? Thanks Shankar

Hi Shankar. When you say it does not move, do you mean that you can't physically turn it yourself, or it doesn't spin when you turn it on?

In the picture you can see the drive belt is off the wheel. If you have never replaced the belt, now is the time to do so. Once you have the new belt in, it is necessary to adjust the tension so it does not slip. If the big wheel is seized (frozen) then you need to replace that part. Since the 10 is no longer in production you may or may not be able to find the replacement part.

I am not able to to turn it physically nor does it rotate when I connect it the motor.
I had removed the belt to try to see what the problem was. Is there a need to oil / lubricate it or change ball bearing if any.
Thanks Shankar
