Santha 10 Switch broken, how to replace « Thread Started on Oct 26, 2009, 10:08am »
Hi,
The switch broke on my Santha. It is no problem to replace it with something else but I would like to replace it with a Santha part. I called and emailed Santha USA and have had no result. Are there any other resources?

i have contacted santha few times, and they were good about returning my calls and emails. might a take a day but they will get back to you.
in my limited experience, i've noticed that john seems to only do business with other good businesses (both santha and crankandstein were very helpful when i had to contact both of them).

Folks, my nose is not put out of joint, but PLEASE contact me if you have a problem with equipment. First, I stand behind it. I am not just taking your money and tossing you to the wind if you have issues. Secondly, I tend to have and get a better response from my various vendors. This is just what I see - Santha never gets back to you. But I will stay on top of them and get you what you need.
And on a related note, Scott, if you don't have the part from Santha yet, you most likely will not get it any time soon - they are closed for everything except Melanger shipments until mid to late December.
Contact me if you still don't have a switch. I 'may' have a spare. I would have to see what style you have.
So, please folks - drop me an email if you have a problem - it's why I am here.

just for the record, i didn't contact santha or cranandstein to bypass john/this site. in the case of crankandstein, i was asking about custom products before i purchased my mill here, and Santha because i thought they were who i contact for warranty issues.
sorry if my previous post sounded like i was bypassing you, jonh (in fact, i really prefer dealing with you since the service is always second to none--and that's no exaggeration)

Oh no Mike, I didn't intent it to sound like a chastisement at all. I guess the point was simple that I am here to help with whatever issues might come up, and going direct to the manufacturer takes more effort and time, and ends up delivering less.
Oh, and you CAN contact the maufacturers for warranty items, but it really helps me to know when something goes wrong as I can note patterns and hopefully head them off down the road.
